Hyped as it was, LSD is a long piece of work interlinking 3 stories exploring the pervasion of the camera in our lives. Unsettling due to the nature of the stories, LSD still did not go beyond that for me.
As for the rave reviews, may be I do not see it. For me it seemed quite artless. Sensational? yes!
Also, I am not amused, perhaps because of these reasons:
A. I am not a citizen of Delhi.
B. I am not a fan of the out-right crude sub-culture that may prevail there- not amusing.
C. I guess the director knows the city inside-out and uses the city-isms very well. A chuckle here and there, but beyond that you need to sit with patience through it.

yes, some critic rightly described it as 'bold but not beautiful'.
And I feel why do we expect it to be beautiful? Dibakar Banerjee didn't want to show 'life is beautiful' at the end of every story'. I know even the 'negative' aspects can be shown artistically... but why??? I feel it's a nice experiment if not nice (so called) movie. And again, is it always necessary to put some work in some or the other known categories?
Yes, it's a nice experiment, but too long for me to put up with. I talked about artless, coz there was nothing else running for it...coz the accents, mannerisms, jokes and sensationalism did not keep me amused either! And by artless I did not mean not pretty looking.
It is unsettling...which is a good reaction to a movie of this genre.
true..though i really enjoyed the movie, though there was little particularly enjoyable there. but i am glad that a movie like this can be made now.
and thankfully it was anything but sensational...despite the provocative title. somehow i could relate to it - not to the characters, but certainly to the emotions.
Yes, the emotions and the camera being a part of our lives is quite relatable. I guess apart from being unsettles mainly due to the unpleasantness of all the situations, I could not like it much.
May be, I had different expectations from it, was a little heavy on the negative for a weekend watch :)
