Not that I am watching the movie for the first time, but it is a perfect choice to liven up a working weekend! On watching it quite a while later, more and more minute details come alive- especially in the characters.
It's such a pity Shefali Shah doesn't act much any more. Her character, it's withdrawal, handling and her coming around is one of my favourite parts about this film. Her moment with Naseeruddin Shah when he comes to take her back home is just so well acted, followed by ofcourse her heartfelt surprise when a stand is finally taken in the family and Rajat Kapoor is asked to leave.
One of the most spirited films ever! And for the most soulful, will leave that again to Mira Nair- keeping the Namesake handy for a re-watch sometime soon.
