Most of the pictures in the previous post were from the earlier visit to Darjeeling. Moving on to the more relaxed visit. Though could not explore anything beyond the usual, even the tourist attractions of Darjeeling are worth a visit.

Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park Easily the Best zoo in India and well worth your time
One of the first things to do on the Darjeeling Wishlist was to see the adorable Red Panda. There are quite a few of them at the Zoo, all in natural surroundings and I just could not get enough of them.
Spent a good amount of time, just watching them play- great entertainment!
Batasia Loop where you can watch the toy train make one whole loop (The train ride stands pending)
The Buddha at the Ghoom Monastry
A visit to Darjeeling would be incomplete without the Toy train ride (The Himalayan Mountain Railway is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list). So have not been able to go aboard that, yet. Good enough reason to visit the charming hills again.
The second is the elusive view of the Kanchendzonga range, which if one if fortunate can be caught early morning from the viewing points in Darjeeling town itself. So guess, the second time round, could at least accomplish that.

... And now I'm left with a few things that I found today and prompted me to write this post right away!
